Bill Carrick completed the game without help from the bullpen and Jack Doyle
had 2 base hits and 4 RBI at Washington Park where the New York Giants beat
the Brooklyn Superbas in 10 innings by the score of 7 to 3.

The score was knotted at 3 after nine innings.  New York was victorious in the
10th inning.  The big moment was provided by Doyle who deflated the spirits
of the home town crowd when he tripled scoring two baserunners.  New York
finished with 11 hits in the victory.  

Carrick(16-17), allowing 3 runs for the game, picked up the victory. The loss
was charged to Jack Dunn(14-12).  He allowed 7 runs and 10 hits in 9 and 1/3
innings.
