Left fielder Mike Donlin had 3 base hits and Noodles Hahn came through with a
solid 9 innings as the Cincinnati Reds outscored the Philadelphia Phillies 7

Cincinnati wasted no time and took the lead in the first inning when they
tallied 2 runs on 2 hits. That early run support was all that Hahn(18-12)
required. Cincinnati finished with 9 hits in the victory.

Doc White(11-18) was the loser. He pitched 9 innings allowing 9 hits and 5
walks. 'Hahn just dominated us' losing pitcher White said. 'Hopefully we can
get to him the next time around'
