Dummy Taylor completed the game without help from the bullpen at Polo Grounds
where the New York Giants beat the Philadelphia Phillies 7 to 4.

New York erupted with the game winning runs in the 8th inning with 3 runs on 4
base hits. Art Devlin led off and keyed the rally when he ripped a
base-knock. Cy Seymour was next and he delivered a base-hit. Seymour got a
good lead and stole second. Roger Bresnahan followed and he laced a one-base
hit knocking in a run. New York continued their aggressive style with
another stolen base. Dan McGann kept things alive and hit a single, and an
error was also committed, driving home another two teammates. New York
managed 13 hits in their victory.

The victory was credited to Taylor(9-5) who went the distance, allowing 4
runs. Frank Corridon(8-19) was hit with the loss. He pitched 7 innings
giving up 12 hits and 1 walk.

New York continued their winnings ways improving their record to 69-54. They
are 8-2 in their last ten games. Philadelphia has a record of 56-63 after
the loss.
