Jim Scott delivered 9 solid innings as the Chicago White Sox outscored the St.
Louis Browns 3 to 1.

Chicago had 2 runs cross the plate in the top of the 2nd inning with the help
of 3 hits. That early run support was all that Scott(4-15) required. After
the 3rd inning, neither team was able to score.

Barney Pelty(4-14) took the loss. Chicago's manager was very impressed with
his pitcher, Scott, 'He had unusually good pitch placement this afternoon.
It was almost unfair - but a beautiful game to watch from where I sat'
