Charlie Buffinton went the distance at Association Park where the Boston
Beaneaters beat the pathetic Kansas City Cowboys in 10 innings by the score
of 4 to 3.

Both teams had scored 3 runs after nine full innings.  Finally, Boston
prevailed in the 10th inning.  After an out was recorded, Sam Wise doubled.
Larry McKeon then threw one that got by the catcher for a passed ball.  John
Morrill then hit a sacrifice fly scoring the run.  Boston finished with 13
hits in the victory.  

Buffinton(8-8) finished the game allowing 3 runs in the victory. McKeon(2-1)
was the losing pitcher in relief.  It was a tough loss for him as he did not
allow an earned run in his 1 inning of work.
