Mike Griffin had 5 hits and 2 RBI and Matt Kilroy tossed a complete game as
the Baltimore Orioles beat the Cincinnati Red Stockings by a score of 12 to
5.

The Baltimore fans enjoyed the offense provided by Griffin.  He tripled in the
1st inning, tripled in the 2nd inning, ripped a single bringing in a run in
the 3rd inning, tripled in the 5th inning and stroked a one-base hit scoring
a run in the 7th inning.  Baltimore finished with 16 hits in the victory.

The victory was credited to Kilroy(29-20) who went the distance, allowing 5
runs. Tony Mullane(24-16) was given the loss.  Baltimore scored big getting
12 runs off him in 8 innings.  

Baltimore now has a record of 64-45.  With the loss Cincinnati now has a
record of 67-48.
