Bob Caruthers slammed 2 homeruns and had 4 RBI and Ed Knouff pitched a
complete game at Washington Park where the St. Louis Browns beat the Brooklyn
Grays in 11 innings by the score of 10 to 9.

Both teams were tied at 9 runs apiece after nine innings. Finally, St. Louis
pulled the game out in the 11th inning. Charlie Comiskey lashed a single.
Comiskey swiped second base. After another out, Yank Robinson then worked
the squeeze play to perfection scoring the run. The Brooklyn batters went
down meekly in the bottom of the 11th.

The win went to Knouff(10-5) who allowed 9 runs in the game. John
Harkins(7-13) was hit with the loss. He allowed 16 hits and 2 walks in 11
innings.

St. Louis won for the 6th straight time. Comiskey held court after the
contest, 'Everything is coming up aces right now. It is important for our
team to ride this wave as long as we can. Every win is important.'
