Park Swartzel had a complete game at Recreation Park where the Kansas City
Cowboys beat the Columbus Solons 8 to 6.

The game started off with Kansas City taking the lead in the first when they
exploded for 7 runs on 8 hits. That early run support was all that
Swartzel(19-16) required. Kansas City finished with 12 hits in the victory.

Mark Baldwin(23-22) was tagged with the loss. He was knocked around by Kansas
City, allowing 12 hits and 6 walks in 9 innings. 'I was a little good, a
little bad and a little ugly.' said Swartzel, 'I was just giving us a chance
to win.'
