at Boundary Field.

Win Mercer(16-17) was solid in the win.  He didn't allow much, just 6 hits and
2 walks in 8 and 2/3 innings.  Washington had 14 hits for the afternoon while
St. Louis had 6.  

Red Donahue(9-18) was the loser.  He was touched for 14 hits and 5 walks in 8
innings.  Wth the win Washington now has a record of 49-64.  With the loss
