Second baseman Tom Jones had 3 base hits and Willie Sudhoff tossed a fine 2
hitter at League Park where the St. Louis Browns beat the Cleveland Naps by
the score of 2 to 1.

Cleveland was unable to recover after St. Louis went ahead in the top of the
2nd inning plating an isolated run.  After two were out Joe Sugden ripped a
base-hit.  Sugden took his lead and swiped second.  Charles Moran then
reached on an error.  Jack O'Connor followed and he reached on an error
scoring the run.  St. Louis managed 7 hits in their victory.  

Sudhoff(7-8) picked up the complete game victory, allowing 1 run. Bill
Bernhard(18-12) took the loss.  He allowed just 2 runs and 7 hits in 9
innings.  

Wth the win St. Louis now has a record of 48-68.  With the loss Cleveland now
has a record of 77-40.
