Third baseman Roger Bresnahan had 4 hits and 2 RBI as the Washington Senators
defeated the Cincinnati Reds in 10 innings by the score of 9 to 8 at Palace
Of The Fans.

The score was tied at 6 after nine.  Finally, Washington prevailed in the 10th
inning.  Charlie Hickman started the inning off right when he stroked a
base-hit.  After an out was recorded, Deacon McGuire stepped in and he
reached on an error.  Gabby Street then was hit by a pitch.  Jesse Burkett
followed next and he drew a walk which brought home a run.  Bresnahan stepped
into the box and drew a walk plating one more runner.  Fred Clarke added to
the uprising and hit a deep fly scoring the final run of the inning.
Washington won despite being out-hit by Cincinnati 16 hits to 13.  

Hooks Wiltse(6-10) allowed 1 run in 2 innings, and picked up the victory.
Wiltse was helped out by Ned Garvin who recorded his 7th save.  Noodles
Hahn(16-12) absorbed the loss in relief.  He was not very effective,
surrendering 4 runs in 3 innings.
