Harry Howell tossed a complete game as the St. Louis-AL Browns topped the
Washington Nationals by a score of 3 to 1 at American League
Park.

Washington surrendered all of the runs St. Louis-AL needed in the 3rd inning
when they scored 3 runs on 4 hits.  That early scoring held up.  St. Louis-AL
managed only 6 hits on the afternoon.  

The win was credited to Howell(9-15) who went the whole way allowing 1 run.
Charlie Case(12-8) absorbed the loss.  He gave up 6 hits and 4 walks in 9
innings.
