Ed Reulbach allowed Bill McKechnie to rest his bullpen, tossing a complete
game as the Newark Peppers defeated the Brooklyn ballclub by a score of 5 to
3 at Harrison Field.

Newark had 4 runs cross the plate in the 2nd inning when they came up with 4
base hits.  That scoring would be all that was needed.  Newark had only 6
hits for the afternoon.  

Reulbach(9-12) got the victory, allowing 3 runs for the game. Happy
Finneran(6-9) suffered the loss.  He allowed 5 runs and 6 hits in 8 innings.
