Willie Jones hit 2 doubles and had 2 RBI at Fenway Park where the impressive
Pittsburgh Pirates beat the Boston-AL Red Sox 4 to 2.

Early Wynn(12-13) was in control of the game from the outset.  He was stingy
on the mound, allowing just 4 hits and 3 walks in 8 innings.  Boston-AL had a
chance in the 9th but they came up short.  

Alex Kellner(4-16) was the loser.  He was hit hard and gave up 9 hits and 2
