Sadie McMahon went 9 solid innings and second baseman Lou Bierbauer had 4 hits
and 3 RBI as the Philadelphia Athletics defeated the Louisville Colonels by a
score of 6 to 0 at Jefferson St Grounds.

Philadelphia claimed the early lead in the first inning plating one baserunner
utilizing 3 base hits. The early run support proved sufficient for
McMahon(10-3) and Philadelphia. That was all the run support McMahon
required. Philadelphia banged out 13 hits on the afternoon.

Red Ehret(8-23) suffered the loss. He allowed a few too many baserunners
giving up 13 hits and 4 walks in 8 innings. 'We didn't have a whole lot of
chances today,' Chicken Wolf said. 'McMahon just was too much for our guys.'
