Hank Gastright had a complete game as the Columbus Solons defeated the awful
Washington Statesmen by the score of 5 to 4 at Boundary Field.

Columbus had the winning rally in the top of the 8th inning scoring 3 runs
utilizing 3 base hits.  After an out was recorded, Gastright began the
Columbus spurt when he slapped a single.  After another out, Tim O'Rourke
came to bat and stroked a base-hit.  Charlie Duffee then reached on an error.
John Sneed followed next and he tripled plating three runs.  Both teams
ended up with 8 hits on the afternoon.  

Gastright(19-11), allowing 4 runs for the game, picked up the victory. Frank
Foreman(14-15) was hit with the loss.  Wth the win Columbus now has a record
of 65-57.  With the loss, Washington has a record of 3-7 lately, 31-80, worst
in the league overall.
