In an exciting finish the Washington Senators pulled out a win over the
Cleveland Spiders by a score of 9 to 8 at Boundary Field.

The deciding run was scored by Washington in the bottom of the 9th. After an
out was recorded, Charlie Reilly laced a base-hit. Zeke Wilson then uncorked
a wild pitch. Jake Gettman then doubled giving Washington the win much to
the delight of the home town crowd. Even though they scored in 5 different
innings, Cleveland was not able to pull off the win.

The victory went to Doc McJames(21-12) who went 1/3 of an inning, allowing no
runs. Wilson(11-13) ended up with the loss. He got hammered, allowing 14
hits and 3 walks in 8 and 1/3 innings.
