Shortstop Kid Elberfeld collected 3 extra-base hits and had 3 RBI at Bennett
Park where the Detroit Tigers beat the Baltimore Orioles in 10 innings by the
score of 8 to 7.

Both teams had scored 7 runs after nine full innings. Detroit ended up winning
it in the 10th inning.  After an out was recorded, Elberfeld doubled.  Kid
Nance followed next and he smacked a single.  Pop Dillon then lined a
one-base hit resulting in an exciting win for Detroit and a raucous post-game
celebration by the home town fans.  Detroit ended up with 19 hits for the
game while Baltimore had 15.  

The winning pitcher was Ed Siever(21-14) who allowed no runs in 1 inning.
Jerry Nops(11-9) was the loser.  He got hit hard, allowing 19 hits and 3
walks in 9 and 1/3 innings.
