Doc Scanlan was able to finish what he started and was credited with a
complete game and right fielder Harry Lumley left the yard and had 2 RBI as
the Brooklyn Superbas outscored the woeful Boston Beaneaters 8 to 4.

Lumley had a big day at the plate. He tripled which brought home a run in the
1st inning, doubled in the 3rd inning and smashed a bases-empty 'big-fly' in
the 7th inning. Brooklyn banged out 15 hits on the afternoon.

Scanlan(8-3) was the winner allowing 4 runs for the game. Kaiser Wilhelm(7-21)
was the losing pitcher. He allowed a few too many baserunners giving up 15
hits and 5 walks in 9 innings.
