Jimmy Sheckard had 4 hits and 3 RBI as the Chicago Cubs outscored the
Cincinnati Reds in 10 innings 19 to 17.

The score was knotted at 16 after nine innings.  Chicago won it in the 10th
inning.  After an out was recorded, Wilbur Good started the rally when he
drew a walk.  Sheckard next to the plate and he reached on an error.  One out
later, Joe Tinker then doubled bringing in two baserunners.  Heinie Zimmerman
followed next and he was walked intentionally.  Vic Saier came up to bat and
stroked a base-hit scoring the final run of the inning.  Chicago bats were
very productive in the 6th inning when they had 4 runs on 3 hits.  The
Chicago offense man-handled the Cincinnati pitching staff as they scored in 9
of the 10 innings.  

Lew Richie(16-8) went 2 innings allowing 1 run for the win. Bert
Humphries(8-12) was the losing pitcher in relief.  He was pinned with the
loss despite not allowing an earned run in his 1 inning of work.
