Vic Raschi was on top of his game, blanking Boston-AL on just 3 hits as the
Chicago-NL Cubs outscored the Boston-AL Red Sox 2 to 0.
Raschi(9-14) pitched one of his finer games as he simply was too much for the
Boston-AL batters. He didn't give up much, just 3 hits and 2 walks in 9
innings. The pitchers took over after the 1st inning as neither team was
able to score again.
Lou Brissie(8-17) was tagged with the loss. He gave up just 2 runs and 3 hits
in 8 innings. 'Raschi just dominated us' losing pitcher Brissie said.
'Hopefully we can get to him the next time around'
