TEAM RISP- Brown Stockings: 7 for 24 Athletics: 1 for 11

Ned Cuthbert had 3 base hits and 3 RBI and George Bradley went the distance as
the St. Louis Brown Stockings really laid it on the Philadelphia Athletics 12
to 1.

Philadelphia was unable to claim the lead after St. Louis went ahead in the
top of the 2nd inning when they came up with 2 runs on 3 hits. That scoring
would be all that was needed. The St. Louis offense smacked the Philadelphia
pitching staff around, scoring in 7 of the 9 innings.

The win was credited to Bradley(40-16) who went the whole way allowing 1 run.
Lon Knight(7-22) was the losing pitcher. He was touched for 17 hits and 2
walks in 9 innings.
