Jumbo McGinnis pitched a complete game at Grand Avenue Park where the St.
Louis Brown Stockings beat the Cincinnati Red Stockings 6 to 4.

St. Louis promptly took the lead in their half of the first plating one
baserunner using 2 hits.  Cincinnati proved to be no trouble in the 9th.

McGinnis(20-20) finished the game allowing 4 runs in the victory. Will
White(32-11) was the losing pitcher.  He allowed a few too many baserunners
giving up 11 hits and 2 walks in 8 innings.
