Left fielder Cliff Carroll slammed a homerun and had 2 RBI and Hank O'Day went
the distance as the Washington Nationals bested the Philadelphia Quakers 10
to 7 at Swampoodle Grounds.

Washington scored 9 runs in the bottom of the 3rd inning when they came up
with 9 base hits.  That early run support was all that O'Day(8-14) required.
Washington had a total of 13 hits for the game.
