Center fielder Adonis Terry had 2 base hits and Bob Caruthers held Louisville
scoreless on just 3 hits at Washington Park as the Brooklyn Bridegrooms beat
the Louisville Colonels 8 to 0.

Caruthers(24-12) was tremendous on the mound for Brooklyn.  He surrendered
only 3 hits and 1 walk in 9 innings.  Neither team managed to score after the
4th inning.  

Toad Ramsey(11-16) was given the loss.  'I've been working on a few things in
my delivery, and I think I'm hitting a good groove.' Caruthers said after the
game.  'I'm ready to start another game tomorrow!'
