Jimmy Sheckard had 3 base hits and 2 RBI at Polo Grounds as the Boston-AL Red
Sox, running on all cylinders, ripped the New York-NL Giants by a large 12 to
2 margin.

New York-NL was unable to claim the lead after Boston-AL went ahead in the 2nd
inning with 2 runs using 2 hits. Rudy Hulswitt kicked off the action when he
drew a walk. Hulswitt was running on the next pitch and he stole second.
Johnny Bates then ripped a one-base hit. Simon Nicholls came up and he would
hit into a force play which brought home a run. George Moriarty stepped into
the box and hit a single. George Mullin added to the outburst and hit a deep
fly scoring the final run of the inning. Boston-AL dominated offensively as
they scored in 6 different innings.

Mullin(5-17) got credit for the victory, pitching 8 innings and allowing 2
runs. Irv Higginbotham(3-5) was given the loss. He was knocked around pretty
good, giving up 10 runs in 8 innings.
