The dominant Pittsburgh Pirates nipped the Boston-AL Red Sox 10 to 9 at Fenway

Pittsburgh was able to put down the rally.

The win went to Ewell Blackwell(15-3) who allowed 7 runs in 5 innings. Ellis
Kinder recorded his 29th save. Sheldon Jones(7-4) absorbed the loss in
relief. He allowed 5 hits and 2 walks in 1 inning.
