Jumbo McGinnis completed the game without help from the bullpen and third
baseman Arlie Latham collected 2 extra-base hits and had 2 RBI at Sportsman's
Park as the St. Louis Browns belted the awful Baltimore Orioles by the count
of 12 to 1.
St. Louis jumped out to the early lead in the first inning scoring 3 runners
on 2 hits. That was all the offense they were to need. St. Louis totaled 16
hits on the afternoon.
The win went to McGinnis(23-15) who allowed 1 run in the game. Bob
Emslie(10-7) suffered the loss. He was unable to control the St. Louis
