Danny Friend tossed a complete game as the Chicago Colts topped the Pittsburg
Pirates by a score of 9 to 7 at Exposition Park.

Chicago brought 3 runs across the plate in the top of the 4th inning when they
had 4 base hits.  It was enough scoring to earn the victory.  Even though
they scored in 5 different innings, Pittsburg was not able to pull off the
win.  

The winning pitcher was Friend(14-16) who allowed 7 runs for the game. The
loss was charged to Pink Hawley(19-20).  He allowed a few too many
baserunners giving up 13 hits and 5 walks in 9 innings.  

Chicago continued their winnings ways improving their record to 66-55.  They
are 8-2 in their last ten games.  With this loss, Pittsburg has a 3-7 record
of late, 59-58 overall.
