Jimmy Collins ripped 2 homeruns and had 5 RBI and Tully Sparks tossed a
complete game at Huntington Ave Grnds where the Boston Americans beat the
Washington Senators 9 to 4.

Collins had a great day at the plate.  He tripled plating a run in the 3rd
inning, smashed a two-run homer in the 4th inning and bombed a two-run dinger
in the 8th inning.  Offensively, Boston was a juggernaut.  They scored in 6
separate innings.  

The win was credited to Sparks(3-7) who went the whole way allowing 4 runs.
Jack Townsend(11-13) took the loss.  He served up 3 gopher balls in 8
innings.  

The Boston ballclub's record now stands at 56-64.  Washington has a record of
54-68 after the loss.
