Terry Larkin pitched a complete game as the Hartford Dark Blues defeated the
St. Louis Brown Stockings by a score of 2 to 1 at Union Grounds.

Hartford had 2 runs cross the plate in the 5th inning when they had 3 base
hits.  They ended up being the winning runs.  St. Louis could do no damage in
the 9th.  

The victory went to Larkin(25-20) who went the distance allowing 1 run. Tricky
Nichols(14-12) was the loser.  He gave up 2 runs and 6 hits in 8 innings.
