At Huntington Ave Grnds the Boston Americans were battered 9 to 4 by the
Washington Nationals.

Washington took the lead off Ed Hughes in the first inning scoring a single
run on 2 base hits.  Both teams ended up with 11 hits on the afternoon.

The winning pitcher was Cy Falkenberg(2-2) who allowed 4 runs in 8 innings.
Hughes(0-1) took the loss.  He got hammered, allowing 11 hits and 2 walks in
7 and 2/3 innings.
