Willie Mitchell pitched a complete game at Sportsman'S Park where the
Cleveland Naps beat the St. Louis Browns in 12 innings 3 to 2.

Both teams had scored 2 runs after nine full innings.  Cleveland won the hard
fought contest in the 12th inning.  Joe Birmingham drew a walk.  Birmingham
took his lead and swiped second.  After an out was recorded, Grover Land then
lined a base-hit scoring the run.  St. Louis had 9 hits in the game while
Cleveland had 5, but Cleveland had the more timely hits.  

Mitchell(8-8) got the victory, allowing 2 runs for the game. Alex Malloy(0-1)
was hit with the loss.  He allowed just 5 hits and 4 walks in 12 innings.

'I struggled a bit out there today,' Mitchell said, 'but I toughed it out and
we got the win.'
