Lady Baldwin was able to finish what he started and was credited with a
complete game and Jim Donnelly had 2 base hits at Olympic Park where the
Detroit Wolverines beat the Buffalo Bisons 4 to 2.

Buffalo was unable to recover after Detroit went ahead in the top of the 3rd
inning plating one baserunner. Ned Hanlon laced a base-knock. Two outs
later Baldwin came to the plate and reached on an error. Pete Conway then
fired a sharp breaking ball that appeared to cross-up the catcher. In any
event, it got by him and was ruled a passed ball. Conway then let one slip
out of his hand for a wild pitch scoring the run. Detroit rapped out 11 hits
for the afternoon.

Baldwin(7-7) allowed 2 runs on the game. Conway(5-11) was the loser. Wth the
win Detroit now has a record of 41-51. Jack Chapman was pretty down after
the loss. 'We've really been sputtering along lately, something like 2-8 in
the last week or two. That won't get it done.'
