Fred Klobedanz had a complete game and center fielder Billy Hamilton had 4
hits and 2 RBI as the Boston Beaneaters defeated the New York Giants by the
score of 16 to 8 at Polo Grounds.

Hamilton had a big day at the plate.  He delivered a solo blast in the 1st
inning, doubled in the 4th inning, banged out a single in the 6th inning and
stroked a base-hit in the 9th inning.  Boston lit up the scoreboard in the
2nd inning which saw them score 6 runs on 3 hits and the 7th inning scoring 4
runs.  Boston rapped out 14 hits for the afternoon.  

Klobedanz(6-1), allowing 8 runs for the game, picked up the victory. Cy
Seymour(1-8) was charged with the loss.  He got hammered, allowing 13 hits
and 6 walks in 8 innings.
