Henry Thielman recorded a complete game shutout as the sizzling Cincinnati
Reds defeated the Brooklyn Superbas 2 to 0 at Washington Park.

Cincinnati scored the winning runs in the top of the 9th inning scoring 2
runs.  Jake Beckley led off and he drew a walk.  Sam Crawford stepped into
the batter's box and he doubled scoring a single run.  Billy Maloney then
reached on an error scoring the final run of the inning.  Cincinnati finished
with just 5 hits in the victory.  

Thielman(10-10) went the distance for the shutout. Jim Hughes(15-13) was the
losing pitcher.  He gave up 2 runs and 5 hits in 9 innings.  

Cincinnati continued on their recent roll, their winning streak now reaching 7
games and counting.
