Third baseman Lee Tannehill had 3 base hits and 2 RBI as the Boston-NL Braves
defeated the Chicago-NL Cubs by the score of 10 to 4 at South End
Grounds.

Chicago-NL was unable to recover after Boston-NL went ahead in the bottom of
the 2nd inning when they scored 4 runs on 4 hits.  The key offensive moment
was provided by Glenn Liebhardt who made the crowd come alive when he doubled
plating two runs.  For the game Boston-NL out-hit Chicago-NL 16 to 9.

Liebhardt(11-11) got the win allowing 1 run in 6 innings. Al Orth recorded his
5th save.  Rube Vickers(12-19) was tagged with the loss.  He allowed a few
too many baserunners giving up 12 hits and 4 walks in 5 innings.
