Jim Scott carried a no-hitter into the 6th inning as the Pittsburgh Pirates
defeated the Brooklyn Dodgers 7 to 1 at Ebbets Field.

Scott(20-12) gave Pittsburgh a solid outing.  He went 8 innings and surrended
up 5 hits and 4 walks.  The right-handed Scott lost a no-hitter when Johnny
Kling singled with one out in the 6th inning.  Pittsburgh finished with 12
hits while Brooklyn ended up with 7.  

Bullet Joe Bush(4-9) was the losing pitcher.  He pitched 7 innings and
