WEB GEMS- Top 5th: Claude Berry blocked the plate, saving a run!

Frank Delahanty smacked 2 triples and had 3 RBI and Mysterious Walker had a
complete game as the Pittsburgh Rebels beat the Kansas City Packers by a
score of 7 to 6.

In the 7th inning Pittsburgh scored 2 runs. Hugh Bradley led off and started
the rally when he doubled. Two outs later Walker came to bat and drew a
walk. Delahanty then tripled bringing in two baserunners. Kansas City
threatened in the 9th but their rally came up short.

Walker(6-15) picked up the complete game victory, allowing 6 runs. Nick
Cullop(16-14) was given the loss. He got hit pretty hard, allowing 15 hits
and 4 walks in 8 innings.

George Stovall was reflective after the loss, 'We should have won this one, we
just made one too many mistakes. Son-of-a-gun, that added a couple more
white hairs on this noggin of mine.'
