Boileryard Clarke went deep and Jerry Nops pitched a complete game at Union
Park where the indomitable Baltimore Orioles beat the Chicago Colts in 10
innings by the score of 4 to 3.

The score was tied at 3 after nine. Baltimore was victorious in the 10th
inning.  Heinie Reitz delivered a single.  Clarke stepped into the batter's
box and he ripped a base-hit.  Frank Bowerman then laced a single making
Baltimore victorious to the delight of the the home town crowd.  Baltimore
banged out 13 hits on the afternoon.  

Nops(16-9) got the victory, allowing 3 runs for the game. Buttons Briggs(7-16)
suffered the loss.  He was touched for 13 hits and 5 walks in 9 innings.
