Red Donahue pitched a complete game and shortstop Monte Cross had 3 base hits
and 2 RBI as the strong Philadelphia Phillies outscored the Cleveland Spiders
14 to 8.

Cleveland was unable to claim the lead after Philadelphia went ahead in the
5th inning as they scored 4 runs on 5 base hits.  Philadelphia dominated
offensively as they scored in 6 different innings.  

Donahue(13-9) lasted until the end allowing 8 runs for the win. Highball
Wilson(0-1) suffered the loss.  He got hammered, allowing 18 hits and 8 walks
in 7 and 2/3 innings.
