Jack Cronin had an impressive outing and Pop Dillon had 3 base hits and 2 RBI
as the Detroit Tigers outscored the league door-mat Cleveland Blues 9 to
2.

Detroit won the game with an offensive outburst in the top of the 9th inning
as they pummeled Cleveland for 7 runs on 7 hits.  The key offensive moment
was provided by Dillon who disappointed the partisan crowd when he banged out
a single plating two runs.  Cleveland was out-hit by Detroit, 13 hits to 5.

Cronin(12-7) allowed 2 runs in 8 innings, and picked up the victory. The loss
was charged to Pete Dowling(8-22).  He allowed 10 hits and 4 walks in 8 and
