Pat Newnam connected with a 'big fly' and had 3 RBI and Howie Camnitz had an
impressive outing as the Washington Nationals beat the Boston-AL Red Sox by a
score of 8 to 0.

Washington started with a bang, jumping out to an early lead in their half of
the first when they tallied 2 runs on 1 hit.  That early scoring was all that
Camnitz(7-9) needed.  Washington totaled 7 hits on the afternoon.  

The losing pitcher was Doc Crandall(7-7).  He allowed 8 runs and 7 hits in 8
innings.
