Johnny Groth jacked one out of the ballyard and had 5 RBI as the sizzling
Cleveland Indians defeated the Washington Nationals 9 to 4 at Municipal
Stadium.

It was a good day for Cleveland thanks to Groth.  He tripled plating two runs
in the 5th inning and lost the ball over the fence for three runs in the 6th
inning.  Cleveland out-hit Washington for the game, 12 hits to 9.  

Al Brazle(3-2) got credit for the victory, pitching 6 innings and allowing 4
runs. Brazle was helped out by Jim Hearn who recorded his 1st save.  Red
Munger(6-5) absorbed the loss.  He gave up 6 runs in 5 innings of work.

Cleveland won for the 8th straight time.
