At Yankee Stadium, the New York-AL fans witnessed a great pitcher's duel.
Camilo Pascual(4-5) finally bested his New York-AL opposite, Dick Hall(2-7),
by the score of 2 to 1.

Kansas City took the lead for good in the 3rd inning scoring a single run.
Kansas City had 8 hits for the night.  

Marv Grissom preserved the game for Pascual, recording his his 22nd save.
Hall absorbed the loss.  He pitched 9 innings allowing 8 hits and 2
walks.

'He gutted it out' Jim Murphy said of Pascual.  'I was very impressed by his
tenacity.'
