Left fielder George Wood cracked 2 homeruns and scored 3 times and Al Maul
went the distance as the Philadelphia Quakers beat the Chicago White
Stockings by a score of 14 to 8.

Wood led the offense for Philadelphia.  He hit a single in the 1st inning,
clubbed a solo home run in the 2nd inning and ripped a solo home run in the
4th inning.  The Philadelphia offense was great, scoring in 7 of the 9
innings.
