TEAM RISP- Orioles: 14 for 30 Browns: 3 for 13

Perry Werden hit for the cycle and had 7 RBI and Egyptian Healy allowed Billy
Barnie to rest his bullpen, tossing a complete game as the Baltimore Orioles
ballclub embarrassed the St. Louis Browns by the count of 25 to 6.

Werden was really in 'the zone'. He smashed a two-run homer in the 4th
inning, tripled scoring two baserunners in the 5th inning, doubled which
scored a run in the 7th inning and smacked a single plating a run in the 8th
inning. Baltimore bats were very productive in the 1st inning when they had
10 runs on 6 hits, the 4th inning scoring 4 runs and the 5th inning with 4
runs on 5 hits. The Baltimore offense smacked the St. Louis pitching staff
around, scoring in 7 of the 9 innings.

The win was credited to Healy(7-10) who went the whole way allowing 6 runs.
George Rettger(3-4) absorbed the loss. He surrendered 10 runs and 6 hits in
1/3 of an inning.

'Everything seemed to click today,' Werden said 'if it could only be this easy
all the time!'
