Art Devlin had 2 base hits and 2 RBI and Walt Dickson allowed Johnny Kling to
rest his bullpen, tossing a complete game as the Boston Braves bested the St.
Louis Cardinals 6 to 2 at South End Grounds.

Boston came up with 3 runs in the bottom of the 4th inning when they had 3
base hits.  They would prove to be the difference in the contest.  Boston
finished with 11 hits in the victory.  

Dickson(10-12) finished the game allowing 2 runs in the victory. Dan
Griner(5-3) was hit with the loss.  He surrendered 6 runs in 7 and 1/3
innings and saw his ERA increase from 2.66 to 3.33.  

Boston now has a record of 43-91.  St. Louis has a record of 58-78 after the
loss.
