Hector Lopez had 2 base hits and 3 RBI at Forbes Field where the Pittsburgh
Pirates beat the Cincinnati Reds by the score of 6 to 3.

Pittsburgh erupted with the game winning runs in the 8th inning scoring 3 runs
on 4 hits.  Yogi Berra led off and keyed the rally when he lashed a single.
Wally Post stepped up to the plate and he banged out a single.  After an out
was recorded, Lopez then tripled driving in two more baserunners.  Red
Schoendienst came up and he slapped a base-hit scoring the final run of the
inning.  Pittsburgh banged out 10 hits on the afternoon.  

Herb Score(10-11) got the win allowing 3 runs in 8 innings. Score got relief
help from Dick Donovan who gained credit for his 11th save.  Willard
Nixon(8-7) was the losing pitcher.  

Wth the win Pittsburgh now has a record of 78-60.  With the loss, Cincinnati
has a record of 5-5 lately, 83-64 overall.
