Center fielder Charley Jones had 4 hits and 2 RBI at Cricket Grounds as the
New York Metropolitans beat the Cleveland Blues in 10 innings 6 to 5.

The game was deadlocked at 5 after nine full innings.  New York came out the
victor in the 10th inning.  Paul Radford drew a walk.  Radford got a good
lead and stole second.  After another out, Tom O'Brien dug into the batters
box next, but he struck out.  Jones was up next and he ripped a base-hit
resulting in an exciting win for New York and a raucous post-game celebration
by the home town fans.  New York banged out 13 hits on the afternoon.  

The win went to Chief Roseman(2-0) who allowed no runs in 1 inning. Billy
Crowell(14-26) suffered the loss.  He allowed a few too many baserunners
giving up 13 hits and 7 walks in 9 and 2/3 innings.
